Hello 2024,
Happy Friday, I hope you're all doing well and staying warm! I'm reaching out to you today to give you some brief updates and information regarding the robe recycling program! If you already have your regalia, you should be all set – just skip to the end of the email for additional updates. If you are intending on using the robe recycling program, please read this email in full.
To start off, we appreciate all the questions we've received regarding the program, and although we don't have specific dates yet (I'll explain this further below), this email is to help you understand how this program works and what you can expect from us. The robe recycling program is a program that gets passed down to each senior class board in which robes left by alums can be borrowed by graduating seniors. If you recall, we had distributed robes earlier last fall right before convocation. Those of you who have borrowed robes from us already, you can keep those until we re-collect robes after commencement. As for those of you who still haven't borrowed regalia, here's some information you need to know:
1. First and foremost, it is important to note that whilst we have robes for borrowing they are limited in size range and we have extremely limited stock of the additional pieces of the regalia (such as tassels, hoods, & caps). Those have to be ordered through the website, and the deadline to order for pick up at Odyssey is Sunday, March 31st. Here is the link to the order form for purchasing a Cap & Gown. If you intend on decorating your cap for commencement, you will also need to order that individually, as any caps borrowed from the program need to remain as is.
2. If you would like to order your regalia to your home, the last day to order is Sunday, April 14, 2024. You could also order it to your personal MHC mailbox if that works best for you.
3. The robe recycling program will most likely take place in the week following spring break (the official dates and times will be shared soon). We will operate on a first-come-first-serve basis, so please plan to pick up your robes in a timely manner. We will be tabling in the Blanchard Information Tables (the space connecting the dining hall and the community center).
I am certain you all are anticipating getting your robes and regalia, so hang tight as we gather more information!
